CBD flower by the QP, half pound and ounce: the weight math in one table
Straight answer
A QP is a quarter pound: 4 oz or 113.4 g. One table for the ounce, QP, half pound and pound, the sum that compares their prices, and why our sacks come only in ½ lb and 1 lb, of hemp THCA flower.
Straight answer. A QP is a quarter pound: 4 ounces, 113.4 grams. A half pound is 8 ounces, 226.8 grams. To compare prices across sizes, turn every one into dollars per gram. We sell only two sizes, ½ lb and 1 lb, and our sacks today hold hemp THCA flower, not CBD flower.
Checked Oct. 4, 2026.
The four sizes
| Size | Short name | Ounces | Grams | Divide the price by |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ounce | oz, “zip” | 1 | 28.35 | 28.35 |
| Quarter pound | QP | 4 | 113.4 | 113.4 |
| Half pound | HP, ½ lb | 8 | 226.8 | 226.8 |
| Pound | LB | 16 | 453.6 | 453.6 |
The avoirdupois ounce is 28.349523125 g and the pound 453.59237 g (NIST SP 811). Labels round them.
Comparing a QP with a pound
Size discounts are real, but they only show once both prices are per gram. A worked example, not our prices:
| Offer | Price | Grams | Per gram |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 oz | $40 | 28.35 | $1.41 |
| 1 QP | $140 | 113.4 | $1.23 |
| ½ lb | $260 | 226.8 | $1.15 |
| 1 lb | $480 | 453.6 | $1.06 |
Then check that the offers are the same flower: same grow (indoor, greenhouse, light-dep or outdoor), same trim, same bud size and a lab report for each lot. A cheaper QP of smalls is not a cheaper QP of hand-trimmed tops.
Why we sell only ½ lb and 1 lb
Fewer sizes, fewer mistakes. Every sack is weighed, sealed and labelled at one of two weights, with the pound listed first and the half pound beside it. If a QP or an ounce is all you want, a pound is more flower than you need, and storing a pound well takes some care. Our page on CBD flower by the pound covers that.
What is in the sacks
Every sack on the stock list is high-THCA hemp flower. It is not CBD flower. The half-pound sacks are on their own page, lowest price first.
From Dec. 11, 2026, federal law counts THCA when it measures the 0.3% hemp limit (7 U.S.C. 1639o, amended by Public Law 119-37, sec. 781, on the date set by H.R. 6500). Our THCA stock leaves the shelf then. State law varies and some states ban smokable hemp now, so check yours before you order any size.
Our menu today is high-THCA hemp flower, not CBD flower. Smoked, it gets you high and shows up on THC drug tests.
