Reading the lab report
A certificate of analysis lists each cannabinoid as a share of the dry flower. USDA’s hemp rule defines total THC as the sum of delta-9 THC and THCA, with THCA weighted by 0.877 (7 CFR 990.1). Some labs heat the sample during testing, which turns THCA into THC inside the instrument, and report one combined number; USDA’s testing rule allows methods that do either, as long as total THC is reported (7 CFR 990.3). A report with separate THCA and delta-9 lines lets you check the sum yourself.
For CBD flower, total THC should be 0.3% or less. A report showing total THC in the teens is THCA flower, whatever the bag calls it.
Reviews, real and otherwise
Since October 2024, the FTC’s rule on consumer reviews bans fake reviews, reviews by people who never used the product, and paying for reviews that must be positive (16 CFR Part 465). A store may still reward reviews, if the reward does not depend on the rating and the review says it earned one.
Here, only buyers with a delivered order can review a product. Every delivered order is asked for a review. If a review earned store credit, it says so on the page, and the credit is the same for one star or five.
Forum threads
People search “bulk CBD flower reddit” for a reason: forum posts can reveal late orders, short weights or lab reports that do not match. Use them that way. Weigh a complaint with dates and order details more than praise without either, and never take a lab result from a post. Ask the seller for the report and read it yourself.
The date every seller has to answer for
From Dec. 11, 2026, federal law counts THCA toward the 0.3% hemp limit (7 U.S.C. 1639o, amended by Public Law 119-37, sec. 781; date set by H.R. 6500). Ask any bulk seller what they will stock after that day. Ours: high-THCA flower leaves the stock list, and we plan to carry CBD flower by the pound if the new per-container limit allows it to be sold that way (CRS IF13136).
Also ask yourself what your state allows. State law varies, several states restrict or ban smokable hemp, and we block no address, so the check is yours.
